Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices. As a Cloud Engineer at CGI, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, providing support to development and operations teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in the migration of on-premises applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud services and architecture.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including experience with services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
