Job Summary:

The IT Audit Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of the organization’s information technology systems, processes, and controls. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks to ensure that our IT infrastructure aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of IT audit methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and report on IT audits, including risk assessments and control evaluations.
  • Assess the effectiveness of IT controls, security measures, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain audit documentation, including audit plans, work papers, and final reports.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact IT audit practices.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on IT audit processes and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of the IT audit framework and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in IT auditing, information security, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in audit tools and software, as well as data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
